Has anyone had the start of a cold which has come to nothing, and then fluey aches in their body?
Yesterday my hands and feet were aching, and this morning just my right ankle.
Just wondering if its something going around?

My mum has been feeling like you describe. She has felt rundown, tired and achey. She did go to the doctor and he said that he had had quite a few people coming in with those symptoms.

If you get worried go and get checked out by your gp.

Hope you feel better

I had something last week and the first I knew of it was my back was really aching...really really aching. Then a couple od days later I had the temperature and felt all over totally drained, took some of those cold / flu pills and felt much better while they were in my system.
I decided it was a virus that attacked the weakess bit of me first...my back and then consumed all of me. HTH and hope you feel better soon.

Had it 2 weeks ago, so did dh. I got aches in various parts of body eg. calves, back, face ( genuine face-ache: no it wasn't funny!), they moved around. Particularly bad at night. My dh got it in a hip and was practically limping. It was strange but woke up one day and it had all gone.

I am glad you started this thread as this is exactly how I have been feeling - no runny nose ,some sneezing bit aching joints . Charliecat what pills did you take? I need something to get me through the next few days , I ahve been drinking hot lemon and ginger and eating loads of garlic.

Those cold relief ones...tescos own brand. Sudafed are excellent too. Had those the first day and then ran out, they were £3 a pack, tescos were only 80p!

Thanks for the messages. Don't really feel ill, but the aches are like Cam says. Have it particularly bad in right ankle. Probably wimp out and take a lemsip later, after nice hot bath.
