Does this look like tonsillitis? **slightly gross photo of my mouth**

Sorry, I have no-one to ask IRL!

I feel rotten this morning. Headache, tired, sore throat.

Is this swollen at the back of my mouth by my tonsils? I used to get tonsillitis quite a bit.

It looks abit red but no spots atm which is the telltale sign of tonsillitis usually. If you feel rough you may be coming down with something

Sore throat definitely but hard to tell if tonsillitis. If it's only just come on paracetamol, antibacterial throat lozenges. Only if it doesn't clear up or it impacts your breathing would you need to see the doctor about antibiotics. Avoid them if you can.

(I always found the sign for me was it felt like I had a razor blade covered beach ball in my throat).

Viral tonsillitis can just give swelling and redness. Bacterial tonsillitis gives the white spots. They won't give antibiotics for viral. Try gargling with salt water or dissolvable aspirin in water.
