Bleed at smear and brown spotting still 3-4 days later

I had smear midweek (I'm 50.)
It took a while for nurse to be able to find cervix and then there was quite a lot of fresh red blood on the brush (it looked a bit like a brush ?)
I hadn't had that before and now I've still got some brown spotting 4 days later. Is this anything to worry about?

Ps: for anyone worried about having a smear during covid. It was incredibly well organised. Nurse and I both wore masks etc.

I had 1 smear like that, it was the only one that was painful at the time. As kept spotting went back to GP. I had a cervical ectroptian (erosion). This is quite common as you get older. Was sent for a scan to check nothing else going on and they cauterised the area. No problems since :)

I had the same at my smear a few months ago. I'm 48, the nurse said the lining gets thinner with age so it's common to bleed at our age. Cleared up after a few days and smear came back all clear.

That makes sense - thank you
