So for the past 2 months or so I am experiencing more headaches, the pulsating type where you can hear your heart in your head! Struggling to sleep and paracetamol is just not doing the trick... I should add that whenever I get emotional tjis is usually followed by a headache...could it be high blood pressure related? Should I worry?

I am mid 30s and never had such bad headaches before! Could it be migraine?
I ll be calling the gp on Mon to put my mind to rest...

Headaches were the first sign that my blood pressure was high so that maybe a cause. Blood pressure monitors are about £25 if you can't get seen by a doctor quickly.

Thank you! Yes, I’ve just ordered one. I also had preeclampsia when pregnant with v high BP at the time. Apparently this makes me at higher risk of developing high BP again so will need to check...

@DuckyMcDuck, just out of interest how high was your BP when you started having headaches?

From memory, it was a few years ago, readings of 140-something /94-98.

I had to wear a 24 hour bp monitor and then was put on medication which kept it stable.

I had just had a year of treatment for cancer which meant I'd put on loads of weight. Ive since lost over 2 stone and it's near enough normal now.

My BIL, who is skinny, has had high bp all his adult life and his is totally controlled by medication. His first symptom was headaches which is why I checked mine out.

I am glad you’re better and BP is down. Thanks so much for the reply! Xx
