So what could be causing all these symptoms if it's not, as the pain doctor says, Fibromyalgia?

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in March. Had an appointment at teh pain clinic, the doc there decided that all ym muscle pain is caused by stress brought on by migraines.
I ahve had 2 migraines in the past 12/18 months, yet I'm in pain every single day, so can't see his thinkiing. Anyway, according to him all my other symptoms could be caused by something else. Here's the list

IBS
Chronic fatigue - I feel like every last ounce of energy has been taken out of me
Facial pain
restless legs
Impaired hadn-eye co-ordination
Memory and concentration problems
Pins and needles and numbness in fingers. legs and feet.
Bladder probs (TMI< sorry)

Any suggestions?

I had all of these symptoms when I had M.E. when I was 19.

I was tested for several other conditions such as fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, M.S. and lots of others before they diagnosed me though.

Like you, I would doubt your doctor's idea about the migraines. We do tense our muscles when we are in pain, but surely you would have to have very regular migraines for them to make you tense all the time?

I was diagnosed with ME years ago. Your symptoms describe me...
I keep think ing maybe it isn't ME but they haven't come up with any other ideas.

Its horrible isn't it?

Keep on at them for help saltire or you could be forgotten about. Unless they can fix you with pills they are not that interested.

Good luck! Let us know if you get anywhere...
