Cystitis- home made remedy using bicarbonate of soda

I have cystitis again ( 1 - 2 times per year for at least the last 20 years so I'm sure that's what it is ).
I am not in the UK , I am in a country where all medication must be bought from a pharmacy and the pharmacy is now closed until Monday.
I do have bicarbonate of soda in the cupboard but I cant find the amounts online to make a home made cystitis remedy, could anyone tell me ? TIA

My mum always said to mix one teaspoon into a glass of water. I’m not sure that it has helped cure it for me but it’s taken the pain/sting out of it until I’ve been able to get medication

I can't remember the quantities but I've used this to sort a mild case. Too much can have a laxative effect...

Big spoon in warm water x

I've always used a teaspoon in a smallish glass of warm water.

Teaspoon in glass of warm water. Tastes bloody awful but does take the sting out.

If you can, look into ordering waterfall d mannose online. Game changer for me.

Drink plenty of water, avoid cranberry juice. D-Mannose is brilliant, but only works if the UTI is due to e-Coli. If you have any Lemon Barley squash, drinking that as strong as you can bear it may help. Drop urine sample in GP tomorrow & get prescription for antibiotics ASAP.

I’ve never found bicarbonate to work for me. Hope it does for you. I concur on D-Mannose though, absolutely brilliant stuff.
