Bothersome symptoms in menstrual cycle - suggestions??

Hi! I’m new here, but thought I’d ask if anyone is on the same page as me.
I had a Mirena IUD for 5 years and had no real bothersome period symptoms. I had it removed and went off BC by choice. I’ve had it removed now for just over a year, but for the last 9 months I’ve noticed really bothersome symptoms throughout my menstrual cycle. Around ovulation (10-11 days after the start of my period) I get awful dizziness, headaches, insomnia and almost feel like I’m coming down with something. Poor activity tolerance as well (and I’m a runner and enjoy keeping active and fit). A couple days before my period these symptoms happen again, then when I actually get my period, I feel fine. Hmm
Then the next month it happens all over again. Every time I experience these symptoms I get so frustrated. They are almost debilitating. But I try to push through them. It affects my mood and my relationship. I’ve tried changes in diet, taking supplements, all sorts of natural remedies but nothing has eased the symptoms. I’m getting fed up. Is this something that going back on birth control may help alleviate? I’m also hesitant to go back on the pill, but because I’ve had some operations on my uterus (fibroid related) I can’t go back to the IUD at this time.
If anyone else has similar experience or any advice I’d appreciate it.
Smile
