the bit under the top lip split and bleeding...?

You know the flap of skin under your top lip? DS1 hit his lip on a sesaw (SP) yesterday and it bleed badly. He fell over this morning and banged his face on a chair at the health visitor clinic, this was about an hour ago, the lip is still bleeding now, he just let me look and I noticed that flap of skin is cut. Not a big tear but thats what is bleeding - what should I do, ignore and hope it stops??

That's probably what I would do.

i would just keep an eye on it. the mouth heals well. just be careful with what he eats (not that he will feel like eating anyway)maybe put a cold compress on outside of his lip with some pressure to stem bleeding.these things always look worse than they are. hope he ok.
