Pain in one side of the jaw

I've had pain in one side of my jaw for a couple of weeks. Am wondering if I need to see a dentist, but it only hurts when I open my mouth etc not all the time. It doesn't feel like tooth pain but in worried it might be.
I know no one on here can diagnose but what would you think? Worth bothering a dentist as an emergency? Kids and I are massively overdue check ups.

I would definitely ring the dentist or the GP. You've had it two weeks. That's what they're for Thanks

Thank you. I will call in the morning then. In the meantime more ibuprofen!
I don't think I came with wisdom teeth, generally quite immature :o
