I woke with a jolt at 4.00 am realised there was a light on somewhere, like to sleep in a darkened house, so I must have jumped out of bed quite quickly , I headed for the door and the next thing I was aware of was falling sideways (so effectively at the foot of the bed)I lay on floor for a few minutes until I felt safe to get up. Bloody head hurt for a while. Kept myself awake until I felt OK.

I am presuming it was low blood pressure I am well known for it) and I just moved too fast.

But I am just putting it here, for future reference.

That does sound like low blood pressure to me. DS is exactly the same when he gets up too quickly. Does your head feel ok now? Any bruising? It's worth keeping an eye out for any concussion symptoms. Hope you're feeling ok.

I also fell today on black ice . At 52 you'd think i'd be too old for a grazed knee!

I feel fed up and locked down Grin

But no headache or bruising, thank you. Flowers

What is cheesing me off is the there appeared to be no cohesive thought between who left the bloody light on, and oh hello floor.
As in I must have jumped up to do it, without thinking about it, if that makes sense, another night I would see it and think bugger it I will sort that out later and then go back to sleep.

We watched All The Presidents Men last night so my brain was whirring when I came to bed (despite that being my third time to see it) wonder if that contributed.

Sounds like maybe it did have something to do with what you'd been watching/a dream you'd been having.

Glad you're ok, and you too, @WhatHaveIFound Thanks

Thank you both. Flowers

This happened to my DH a few times, going to the toilet at night. He once really knocked himself cold for some time and suffered from a very sore neck for some time.

It seemed to happen when he was dehydrated.
