Fluid from ears every morning but no infection?!

Hello all,

I had 2ear infections at the end of summer, and the last one end of October which cleared up (maybe the first one never went away), anyway since then I still have fluid coming out of my ears when I wake in the morning, I don't have any other symptoms that I used to get with infections, and last time I went to the Gp at the end of November they said I didn't have an infection and i don't think I do.
Does anyone else have this? I may occasionally get it later on in the day abit too, it's not itchy or anything and doesn't smell. Do I maybe need ear syringing or something?! Don't really want to go to the doctor again for nothing! Thank you x

Hi OP. With fluid coming out of your ears, best ring your GP tomorrow morning. Hope all goes well for you!

If it's thin watery fluid, then another vote for getting checked out promptly.

Been getting a clear odourless fluid come out from my ears at night for the past few weeks. Gp can't see any signs of infection either...

Has he considered a cranial leak of CSF?

I had this years ago and it was eczema. It would leak and then, if left, go crusty. Could it be this? It eventually cleared up and for about 30 years I didn't have wax in my ears - I have just started to produce it again.

Oh god I hope not CSF leak. I don't think it's serious, gp wasn't concerned last time
I'm really sure not an infection, usually get itching inside ears, pain, ringing in ears & aching body etc
It could be eczema related I do have eczema flare at the moment, externally my ears are slightly itchy. Did you find anyway to treat it? I also get it in the night when I've been laying on one side for a while
