Strange place for a rash - it disappears under the glass and he doesn't appear sick but says it's itchy - any clues?

Is it the inside of the elbow or the outside? What does it look like? is it raised? What does it feel like if you run your finger over it?

It's on the outside. It is raised and looks like a whole load of red bumps joined together in a big mass and he says it's itchy. I've been putting cream on it which seems to make it fade for a bit then it comes back again.

He has had eczema in the past but only slightly on his cheeks and it looked nothing like this.

If its on the elbows it sounds to me like a flare up of some kind of eczema/dermatitus. If emollient creams don't work, you may need to see the doctor for a mild hydrocortisone cream which should clear it up pretty quickly. I'm not medically trained by the way so this is only a suggestion based on what my son has suffered from in the past!

What sort of cream have you been using? It may be psoriasis but tbh I think its the sort of thing that should be diagnosed by a doctor.

Using an emollient so shall see how it is tomorrow.

Hi, my son has exactly the same thing. Can I ask how it turned out for you? Hopefully not psoriasis? Thanks 😊
