UTI's aren't contagious are they??

so why do both me and my mum keep feeling like we need to go to the loo but nothing comes out which to me sounds like a UTI. is there anything else it could be?

Thanks neverenough. Have already drunk 3 pints of water this evening. I am very wary having had this travel up to my kidneys twice before.

VVV, you may need antibiotics if it is bacterial. Though you probably know that.

VVVQV-the bicarb is purely for symptomatic relief but may help you sleep more comfortably. Hope it helps.

Yes, you should be able to. As long as you take along a sample she will be able to test it.

Well, looks like it's travelled

Am in bed, having taking 2 co-dydramol and drunk a 2 pint carton of cranberry juice, and having started on the Cystopurin. Could barely make it up the stairs a short while ago. Cystitis sucks.

Really feel for you. It's unbearable. Have you been given antibiotics? I know that is the ONLY thing that will clear it for me.

Nope. Havent seen doctor. Even if I did at this stage - there are NO chemists open past 4pm in a 20 mile radius.

I know, because I was checking last night when I sent DP out to get the Cystopurin/Cymalon. He was unsuccesful.

I'll go to the docs in the morning I think. I cant see it clearing up on its own.
