Having similar problems with DD1 (5). she was given a course of antibiotics a couple of weeks ago which worked but awake half the night with her last night in agony with the same pain. I am going straight down to GP this morning to get it checked out.

I would insist that she that your GP take this seriously. There can be a number of reasons why this happens and the infection can travel up the kidneys if not treated. Cranberry juice is good and stops the bacteria clinging to the wall of the bladder etc but my DD won't take it.

Hope this helps.
