Smelly sweat between legs most of the time. Is this normal?!

Hi. This has been bothering me since my teens (!), but I s'pose Mumsnet's the first place I've thought I could talk about it anonymously.

I know all women sweat between their legs, and that it's normal up to a point. I sweat profusely there most of the time, and it ends up smelling enough for me to be paranoid about it and want to wash a.s.a.p. even though dp (who I can chat to about this) insists he's never noticed anything.

My hormones have been out of kilter since my teens, so it could be related to that, and I know I sweat more when I'm anxious. I just wondered if it's normal to have smelly sweat between your legs by the end of most days. And if it is, what can you do about it? And if it's not, what could be causing it? Anyone?!

oh poor you! that sounds uncomfortable!
I don't have this problem , I don't think it is something that most people have a problem with tbh. Is it worse at certain times?
The only thing I can think of is that it is either hormonal as you have said or glandular.
You could try looking it up on a site such as netdoctor but I would probably book a visit with your gp if it really bothering you.

Thanks, mbpf. I haven't made any connection as to why it's worse at certain times, and then for a couple of days at a time, no problem. All-over-the-place hormones could explain a lot, I suspect, but perhaps it is worth a trip to the doctor's - if it's not "normal". Cheers.
