Any advice on 2year old's teeth?

Last weekend my 2 year old DD had a slight temperature so I took her to the doctor as I thought it could be an ear infection. The doctor said inside her ear was a bit red and the best thing to do was wait and see. However, since then my DD has been complaining of sore teeth espcially when eating. She is also off her food which is very unlike her.

Tonight when I tried to brush her teeth she went mad saying they were sore. I eventually managed to get a toothbrush to them and the gums started to bleed by her 2nd year molars. I thought she cut these 5 months ago. After half an hour of battling I managed to look in her mouth and saw a bit of gum over her 2nd year molar. I am not sure if I should take her to the dentist - is she too young? Or should I take her back to the doctor? Also, I am thinking that perhaps this molar wasn't all the way through but 5 months seems a long time for the tooth to completely emerge.

Any ideas of what the problem could be?

Many thanks AK

Two not too young for dentist - in fact you should start taking them from two. Hopefully a dentist or dental nurse will post and advise on your problem, there a few of them Comeoverveneer (sp?) springs to mind!
