So, ladies, what exactly is the <ahem> etiquette when having a coil fitted?

Yeah, especially if you like the sensation of the coil piercing you from the inside, when the doctor has a giggle. (Not that they would of course)

But they are very professional, both doctor and the nurse kept a straight face when I asked if there were any chance of adult toys getting entangled in the coil strings.

well I had to ask!

I think it was Aitch (or somebody else knowledgeable on the Mooncup WTF thread ) who said there was a chance of the coil being accidentally pulled out when removing mooncup.

The miscarry thing is wonky facts - the copper is meant to kill off most of the sperm, then any that get through and manage to fertilise can't implant, so I can sort of see the logic in it being a miscarriage, but not in the true sense iyswim.

I took syndol before I went (was terrified), got someone else to drive because they make me all floaty, and by the time I got there I didn't care
