think i read somewhere you need to have a smear test done every four years after 25,is this different if you have a baby?where do you go to have one silly question i know but no one else to ask!

You can have it done by your GP or the Well Woman Centre in town, if your GP is sixty, male, and hangs our with your Dad! I think you're supposed to have one every 3 years but am a bit hazy on that!

At our GP clinic, its the practice nurse who does them. Can't remember if the interval is 3 4 or 5 years, they send out a reminder and I turn up. Makes no difference if you've had a baby.

If you've never had one, or can't remember when, then you should prob ask GP in first instance. They will either be able to do it or recommend somewhere. I'm not sure but I think they get bonuses for reaching targets on smears so they wont mind in the least you enquiring!

well my gp is about sixty and nearly fell over when i asked him about getting an implanon which i had done at a family planing place then removed.thanks shinyshall ring the well woman and ask never had one done but its on my mind at the moment thank you all for answering!
