DS 5 months has had a mild rash for a few weeks but tonight it's looking more angry. I'm assuming eczema, DH has suggested ringworm? We have dogs.

Posted too soon. I've been putting E45 on it but I'm not sure if it's making it worse

Looks like eczema to me. Possibly psoriasis, in that plaque shape.

Child’s Farm or aveeno both good. Prob check in with a gp for confirmation.

mamma2016 · 28/12/2020 18:20

Looks like ringworm which means you'll need anti-fungal cream. Call your GP in the morning.

WeeDangerousSpike · 28/12/2020 18:21

Looks like ringworm to me too. You'll need proper stuff to get rid of it.

OverTheRainbow88 · 28/12/2020 18:24

I also think it looks like ringworm

Ringworm

Haggisfish · 28/12/2020 18:29

Ringworm-ds had it just like that.

Wagsandclaws · 28/12/2020 18:30

Ringworm, you'll need canesten or something similar, call your GP and they will prescribe something suitable.

Pickypolly · 28/12/2020 18:31

Ringworm.
Not from dogs!! It’s a fungal infection, easy to shift with the right antifungal cream.

generallygenial · 28/12/2020 18:33

It is possible it came from a dog

Bowerbird5 · 28/12/2020 18:34

Looks like ringworm.

Tomatobear · 28/12/2020 18:50

Thanks all, I'll pop into the pharmacy tomorrow morning.

Id say ringworm and yes it can come from dogs. It's a zoonotic disease

snowone · 28/12/2020 19:59

Could be discoid eczema. DD1 has is and was treated for ringworm, she had it for months until I finally insisted on a referral to dermatology who diagnosed it within 2 seconds!

Rhubarbe · 28/12/2020 21:00

Did one patch come up ahead of the others? Could be pityriasis rosea, often confused for ringworm.

Our GP is quite good in that you can send a pic and a doctor will look at it and suggest what it is... may be worth a shot?

Tomatobear · 29/12/2020 13:18

The pharmacist had a quick look and thinks eczema, gave us some cream.

Although it does look a lot like that discoid eczema. Very similar, all over his chest.

If this cream doesn't help I'll ask if I can send a photo to the GP, ours are great here. Didn't want to hassle them but that seems like a quick and easy way to check.
