8 week injections

My dd is having her 8 week injections tomorrow and I wondered if anyone had any advice as to how I can make life more comfortable for her during and afterwards? I have heard both horror stories and also instances where there were no effects and that it was more traumatic for the mother!!

Thank you

Hi GF

My DS was right as rain after the initial shock of the injections, after a very hearty slap on the back from my GP which seemed to shock him out of crying!

However, about 4 hours later he suddenly became very miserable, we gave Calpol and he conked out for a few hours then was fine. So would def. recommend having a bottle in the cupboard if you haven't already.

Hi MB

Fingers crossed she has the same limited reaction, 1st bottle of Calpol was purchased yesterday.
Thanks

You can get the Calpol from the doc at the time on prescription. I found I didn't need it. Just be prepared for your dd to sleep loads that night and following morning, and be grizzly that afternoon.
