Frothy stools from baby

Hi - anyone else experienced this? My 11 week old baby seems to have frothy stools pretty regularly since she was a few weeks old. Sorry for the detail, but it looks like cappuccino froth at the start of a movement, but is interspersed with normal baby poo. Is this diarrhoea and if so, why does she keep getting it? She's a colicky baby - could this be the reason? My doc though the inital bout was a dodgy tummy and advised me to keep bf.

My dd did this for weeks, she had wind problems too, gave her infacol for the first 5 months. I got worried when it turned green, asked my hv. I was told that perhaps she was getting too much formilk. I just kept up the bf's and over time it got a bit thicker.

I think, you should keep an eye on it and check back with your doctor regularly. But just to let you know it happened to us. We had loads of naked time so I saw it arriving allot, it's totally disgusting like runny foam, but it just became normal for us

Thanks, Sushi for the quick reply. Reassuring to know you had it regularly too. Yeah, my DH is a bf baby too, so I was beginning to worry if it was something I eat. Her poos aren't really green, the froth is yellowy-brown and when normal they are that amazing mustard yellow.

I can't believe I'm writing about baby poo in such detail...
