So....a couple of years ago I was quite unwell with extreme fatigue and all manner of pain issues. I was back and forth to GP saying 'Could it be this, could it be that?' such that I think GP thought I was neurotic. He diagnosed fibromyalgia and then chronic fatigue. I had lots of blood tests done, one showed I was anaemic. GP dismissed it as irrelevant, said that was normal for a menstruating woman of my age. (I disagreed and have been supplementing with iron since!)
Fast forward and another pain issue massively kicked off a few months ago...it was awful. Back to GP who basically shrugged and suggested I was sleeping awkwardly. 2 weeks later I saw another GP who said 'Its just one of those things.' 2 weeks later saw another GP who was so dismissive I got really upset and ended up with a hypertension diagnosis
I was on my knees by this point since I couldn't sleep for the pain.
The pain was quite distinctively odd tho so by now Google had given me a possible diagnosis. Asked 2 GPs outright if it could be this condition. Both said absolutely not. End of discussion.
I went private and have paid hundreds of pounds on private tests and sure enough, I have the condition google flagged.
Anyway, as part of my diagnosis I had a private consultation with a doctor, I went back thro my online medical record (via Patient Access) to make a note of any relevant test results. I knew by now that the anemia from 2 years ago was likely due to this condition so wanted to take the details with me. But they are no longer on my (online) medical record. They were there, now they are not. So someone has either removed them or changed permissions such that they are no longer visible. I have approached the surgery and the manager has quite snottily said that they have no control over what I can or cannot see. I have contacted Patient Access and they say that only the individual surgery can change what I can or cannot see. The practice will not look into it further. So, these results that could have helped diagnose my condition earlier have gone and no one can explain how or why. I'm really cross about it, even more so the more I get stonewalled. Can anyone advise? How do test results become viewable thro Patient Access and how can they be taken off again??
