Gallstones pain and change of bowels

Following a few gallstone attacks I have had an ultrasound scan that confirms several gallstones. When I looked at the screen I saw to that looked quite big and radiographer said there were more small ones.

Along with the gallstone attacks I am finding I am having a change of bowel motions and having to go several times every morning along with feeling like I have trapped wind.

I have been advised to take buscopan by GP so not sure if this is having any effect on me.

When I told the dr about the change in bowels they told me this is nothing to do with the gallstones but I am not sure if this is right as the radiographer said it was a common symptom.

Can anyone give any advice?

Are you on a low fat diet? That’s what worked for me when I got diagnosed. I was going several times a day before I switched my diet and took anti spasmodics. Bowel changes can be a sign of an inflamed and diseased gallbladder as it was in my case. Mine was full of sludge and stones when removed

I’ve just checked and I’m probably having around 20g of fat a day on average.
