What is going on with my body

About 4 years ago, I started to feel a really strange pain in my right shoulder that could only be relieved by me physically 'popping' or cracking my shoulder. This happened very suddenly and shortly moved on to my left shoulder. I have tried every exercise under the sun but nothings helped. I noticed that my back pain started to become more severe and intense as a result. As soon as I would 'pop' my shoulder, the pain came right back and I had this on repeat every day. The pain was always there and would never go away expect for a few seconds after I popped my shoulder. I decided to go and see my GP and have seen 4 different GPs since (I have moved around quite a lot sine then). Every single one of them said that it's normal and it's to do with some air bubbles and maybe sitting at my desk all day. 4 years later, nothing had improved and I am sick and tired of having a 'popping' shoulder and doing it as a habit now. A few weeks ago, the same thing suddenly happened with my right hip and has now moved to my left hip too. Except, the pain is much worse around the hip area and I can feel it all the way down my legs, buttock and lower back. Again, only relieved by a huge pop or a crack but only for a little bit before it comes back. Due to this being in my hips, legs and back, I can't get up if lying down without feeling a lot of pain and about twice a day I have to stop what I'm doing because I simply can't move my legs and hips anymore as it's painful so I have to sit down and try to crack my hip. I'm worried that this could be a sign of something more serious but the GP's won't take me seriously because I'm only 24. Does anyone have any idea what this could be or any similar experiences please?

Have you visited an osteopath or a chiropractor for an assessment?

thelooneywitch · 14/12/2020 22:07

@Livedandlearned thanks. No, not yet. I had one scheduled in February but have never got around or was brave enough to get booked in again since Covid happened. I will definitely have to do that ASAP

Definitely see an osteopath. Mine is so helpful, she sorted me out after 3 years of pain and no help from anywhere else.

Another one here recommending see an osteopath. Mine's been a life saver.
