Wonder if anyone knows how I can prevent re infection whilst waiting for root canal? I have antibiotics which will hopefully kill the infection for now but treatment likely to start in January. Would rinsing with salt water regularly avoid reinfection while I wait? I don't think it is at the abscess stage yet...no swelling/redness just pain in the site of a very old deep filling. Thanks
