My SIL has just been diagnosed with menieres disease. She is fairly young (late twenties) and is trying for a baby. She has been prescribed two differnt forms of medication which she hasn't started taking yet as she is worried about the effects on conceiving and possible damage to a baby. now i can't tell you what the medication is as i don't know, but i'm presuming its what is routinely given for this. Does anyone have any advice on what she can take to help the symptoms, I have told her she needs to discuss it with her consultant as he didn't ask about the possibility of conceiving/being pregnant.

Just make sure her partner doesn't move the earth too much for her

She does need to discuss this with her consultant, but may be able to arrange a telephone consultation if she contacts their secretary. I would imagine that the consultant will have already considered this possibility bearing in mind your SIL's age.
Good luck to her and if they sort her out with some anti-emetics for the Menieres they will also help her when she gets morning sickness.
