I've had asthma since a teenager and as I never have serious asthma attacks never thought it was serious but it is hard to get under control and I'm on a few inhalers and it's still not under control. I've in the extremely vulnerable category which I found scary as I never thought my asthma too much of a problem, inconvenient yes and prone to chest infections but have only had one very troublesome one. However since September my asthma has been much worse, I've had 2 courses of antibiotics, a course of steroids (all prescribed over the phone) all did nothing. After a few months managed to get seen by the GP who checked my chest and it's clear, had a chest x ray, also OK. So now I'm being referred to respiratory clinic. This has really worried me as worried that this will be what it's like from now on, short of breath at night and waking in the morning tight chested. I don't know anyone else who's been referred so it all seems a bit alien to me. TIA
