ok, i dunno if im being melodramatic (im good at that ) here but this freaked me out. Had a lovely long lie in this morning got up at 10, got up walked round a bit, felt fine, my son went to take the dogs out for a wee in the back so i went upstairs for a sneaky ciggy out of the bedroom window (im a secret smoker ) had nearly finishede my ciggy and i felt a bit headspinny which is quite normal after first ciggy of the day anyway, went downstairs and got a drink and suddenly started feeling like i was gonna be sick, tried to ignore it and sat down but then felt weak and shakey, literally crawled upstairs to toilet, ended up sitting at the top of the stairs, i went REALLY hot then cold, my skin even turned red with heat lasted for a minute or so then went back to normal, still feel a little shakey now, but what the hell was that? any ideas or am i a nutcase?

sounds like low blood sugar - was it ages since you ate something?

doggiesayswoof · 22/10/2007 10:49

you might just be fighting off a virus - that can make you hot/cold?

it's a pretty bad cold virus (if you've got the same) it knocks you for six.

Elasticbandstand · 22/10/2007 10:59

nicotine rush?

doggiesayswoof · 22/10/2007 11:01

Just keep an eye on yourself. If it's a one off I wouldn't be worried, if it keeps happening - go to GP.

Take care!

loopylou6 · 22/10/2007 11:02

Hi loopylou6

If you've recently had a cold/virus, its possible you may have an ear infection.

It can upset you balance/make you very nauseous and dizzy.
