For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

yes I think it is all too macabre for me full stop

I think I need to go in an alternate halloween universe where there is only innocent children with witches' hats on and a bit of apple bobbing

FrayedKnot · 26/10/2007 18:42

lol at chaffed skin

Yes, a nice little bit of gentle pumpkin carving would do me, none of this grisly stuff thank you very much.

I'm feeling a bit coming down with something, certainly very tired. Sorry to hear small 10/10ers are not well. I have been drinking hot berry punch with echinacea in it.

I can;t remember what I've eaten today.

Oh, quite a bit of cake again

My veg box came, and it is a triumph. Dsis was here when it came and she said it far excelled the Riverford one she tried, on quality.

LullabyGhouL · 26/10/2007 18:45

ds has persuaded me to buy a charlie & lola video & he is watching it while eating his tea [rubbish mother emoticon]

I queued in Boots for simply hrs to get my prescriptions, lugged half a ton of food back from the organic shop as we had run out of simply EVERYTHING & then ds found a huge lego city set in the charity shop still boxed & everything for £3...so I had to lug that back too

I'm ready for bed..hrrrrrrumph >
someone make me some supper

MrScarRot · 26/10/2007 18:48

Oh dear, maybe I am too rotten for 10/10 sensibilities.

How is a rotten scar more gruesome than zombies or warty witches or ghouls. Hmm? It's meant to be gruesome, it's not real you know, the scar is just a rubber one from Langleys toy shop for 99p.

There there.

foulmoonfiend · 26/10/2007 18:48

we went out in Bluebell (our campervan) today to an arboretum with a fantatsic 'scary' walk which was full of very witty and well thought-out thingies hanging from the trees. We cooked many suasages in the van (as the cafe was hideously expensive).

I have made pumpkin soup and have consumed around 4 pomegranites today and dh is making nice thai green curry for supper.

Looking forward to tomorrow as we are going out for the day on grandma's canal barge (with a nice pub for lunch and a nature reserve to visit en route).
I feel very wholesome and autumnal. I may go and make apple cake now.

foulmoonfiend · 26/10/2007 18:49

MrsC, I think your name is fabulously witty. I have voted for you

FunkyGlassSlipupandyouredead · 26/10/2007 18:53

sorry my name isnt very nice either.

having 5 mins peace as DH has taken girls up for bath.

we are having a chinese for tea. Perhaps if I get something with lots of beanspouts in they can count in my 10 items. I'm not doing well at this. ..

SkullabileoOOH · 26/10/2007 18:53

well.....mrs c.....does it suit me?

fmf.....that all sounds positively dreamy....ds & I want to come & live with you please

FrannyandZooey · 26/10/2007 18:56

Ooh LL that is so not you

MrsC I think yours is very clever and nasty. It isn't worse than the others, not at all, but I have gone right off the whole zombie etc thing which is why I am standing here like the person who forgot it was a fancy dress party

SkullabileoOOH · 26/10/2007 19:27

FrayedKnot · 26/10/2007 19:55

foulmoonfiend · 26/10/2007 20:00

littlerach · 26/10/2007 20:01

FMF, it wasn't the Westonbirt arborteiu,m was it? we are going there next week.

I don't think I should post here today really, as my intake is even worse than usual

And I odn't have a scarey name....sob...

But I do still have PMT. It should be present by now, not pre.

We went to Lyme Regis today. No f&v there. Just chips, which I don't really like. But everyone esle did.
And dd2 was quite awful and upsetting all of the way home - 2 hours you know?

In fact, I ma rathe tired and emotional. again.

pinkspottywellies · 26/10/2007 20:01

MrsC can you do me a name please. I was going to have pinkspottywerewolf or something but yours are good

foulmoonfiend · 26/10/2007 20:04

LittleRach (I have a big soft spot for your name..) no, I am up north.
Beautiful Autumn colours today, even though it was cloudy and chilly. I have a rucksack full of leaves which I am threading onto invisible string to decorate my front room (though they will probably shrivel up overnight)

My children looked at me with sort of bemused tolerance as I gathered...oh I wish they were toddlers again!

littlerach · 26/10/2007 20:04

You could be pink spotsofbloodonmywellies, or redspotsofbloodonmywellies kind of thjing?

foulmoonfiend · 26/10/2007 20:05

or in a fungus the bogeyman sort of way StinkGrottySmellies

littlerach · 26/10/2007 20:20

FMF, erm any particular reson why you have such a soft spot for my name?!! Should i be scared??? LOL.

That's why we didn't go today, as dh is a would be photographer and wants to wait until there is a blue sky for him to take photos of!

I neeeeed a scarey name.
Please?

IdrisTheDragon · 26/10/2007 20:20

I don't have a Halloween name either. Should I?

pinkspottywellies · 26/10/2007 20:29

Ooh thanks everyone. I'm liking stinkgrottysmellies so far. Keep em coming! We had stew for tea which my sister said contained more veg than she's had in the last month! I need to go shopping so have eaten rubbish today!
