For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Good god. Really?
A dirty poem about goats eyes that gives you the horn?
Are you trying to put me off meeting her?

Because if anything would, i think goat erotica is it. And shouting.

womblingalong · 23/10/2007 22:34

Lol Franny,

I think I would be a little 'de trop' in mr 100 and 100's hotel room right about now.

I am just wallowing in the nostalgia of our wedding trip, thats all. We were fresh out of uni, and made a pact to take only smart clothes and make the effort to 'dress up' for venice. We just wandered around drinking in the beauty dressed up in our sunday best, but not being able to afford anything. Oh to be young and in lust love again.

womblingalong · 23/10/2007 22:36

Boco,

you are making me rofl at the moment:

pure genius.

Ds has a rotten, rotten cold and horrid chesty cough,I have drippy throat from hell
I have horrid stinky, stingy, steroid lotion to massage into my scalp every night to encourage regrowth ,had yet more blood tests(managed to get ds to sit on the floor & read a book to me so he didn't even notice the needles),they have taken a handful of hair so that they can peer at it under a microscope

I have managed to upset my lovely friend .......she made a hair & manicure appointment for me on Thurs & was going to come with me as support while I had my remaining hair cropped & her visiting mother was going to look after her dc's & my ds
But......
1.....Ds isn't well & I dont want to leave him
2....having met friend's mother briefly,I dont want to leave ds with her
3....I am feeling to fragile, weepy & about to lose the plot to have hair cut or a manicure

so.....I cancelled it
She then sent a text saying she was coming over to bring some things & would take ds to the park tomorrow......to which I had to reply that I was just off to the hospital & that ds was shivery & chesty & not up for the park

'I give up 'was the reply
......I am oficially crap

my mother is making me want to hurl myself off a cliff too
agggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Lullabyloo · 23/10/2007 22:42

Dirty goat poems??????
Good Lord

FrannyandZooey · 23/10/2007 22:42

yes Boco I am trying to keep her all to myself

so I can do away with her, steal her clothes and dress up and pretend to be her when NQC comes for lunch

FrannyandZooey · 23/10/2007 22:44

Oh LL you have to do what is right for you not what your friends think you need at any one moment

it was a kind thought of her but it wasn't the right thing

big sympathy about your mother

ds also said to me tonight
'I have no brothers or sisters...I am all on my own'
I asked him why he had suddenly said that & who had been talking about siblings & he said 'I just thought of it myself because everyone in stories has brothers & sisters'
and then he reeled off a list of books ......

TooTicky · 23/10/2007 22:50

LL, please don't be hard on yourself. Doing anything else would have made youtoo uncomfortable and miserable. And you certainly can't help your ds being ill.

We are all sporting vague colds here. Ds1 has it the worst - he's really chesty.

I cut dd2's hair earlier her little curls because it occurred to me that as she hates combing, and as the ends of her curls were inclined to tangle instantly, she'd be happier with a little less hair.
I asked her and she said yes so
I just did it. Her back hair is now the same length as her side hair and of course she looks lovely but
I do feel a little bit odd about it.

MrsCarrot · 23/10/2007 22:57

Franny I will not send you poems AS REQUESTED if you take a snippet and make it out to be filthy, oh no, it was a sensitive poem about feeling insecure about breasts, you remember, the large areola thread??

Boco - It is not goat erotica, and I won't shout, I promise!

TooTicky · 23/10/2007 22:59

I am intrigued.

MrsCarrot · 23/10/2007 23:01

althouh some people did go a bit red in that workshop

MrsCarrot · 23/10/2007 23:01

a horse bit my baby at the zoo today, it was very upsetting and we all cried.

Lullabyloo · 23/10/2007 23:04

poor baby carrot

A camel licked ds once......it was very smelly & slimy & scarred ds for life I think

MrsCarrot · 23/10/2007 23:05

and I didn't even go to the farmyard section so I didn't see any goats, ok?

MrsCarrot · 23/10/2007 23:06

yes, I stayed well away from the camels, ll, but we were just near th horses and ds1 said look, mum, and I looked away and it stuck it's head through the fence and bit his foot really hard. It didn't break the skin but it's bruised

Lullabyloo · 23/10/2007 23:06

.....we believe you mrs c.......we do

Lullabyloo · 23/10/2007 23:07

poor little chap

MrsCarrot · 23/10/2007 23:12

Yes, I felt awful. Of course there are signs everywhere saying the animals may bite, dc's were more interested in the warning pictures of hands with chunks out of them than some of the animals, but you don't really expect a horse to sneak it's head throught the middle section of the fence and bite your baby while you glance at a cheetah.

I had to feed him immediately and it was freezing, the wind whistled up my back and I thought of mid winter outdoor feedings with some gloom.

Lullabyloo · 23/10/2007 23:15

hmmmmmm......yes I remember blue nipples very well

Lullabyloo · 23/10/2007 23:16

mrs c............ for poor unsuspecting baby carrot.....but the way you write really does make me snort

Lullabyloo · 23/10/2007 23:19

rofl at one of the thread titles
"We used to shag all night but now we just play Scrabulous'

Franny............take heed

FrannyandZooey · 24/10/2007 08:21

"I will not send you poems AS REQUESTED if you take a snippet and make it out to be filthy"

but but but but

but I LIKED it

it was lovely and filthy

Poor baby carrot, that was just a mean old horse. For winter breastfeeding get a thermal top to wear under your ordinary top and cut a hole where your breast would be. Wear it tucked into skirt or trousers. Then you can lift up t-shirts and jumpers etc and still be warm underneath on your back and tummy.

LL I feel funny about ds having no brothers and sisters too. Try reading Milly Molly Mandy, she is an only child and they are my favouritest stories ever. Pippi Longstocking (for when he is a little bit older) lives all by herself with only a monkey and a horse!

All those with verbal dribble should enter the voucher MN comp and write a nice wee haiku - I just did there is a thread on the loose somewhere

Fresh salsa filled with coriander from garden, Fish and chips, strawberries for dessert. Stones green ginger wine mixed with ginger beer to wash down.
