LadyVofC - oh poor her, it isn't fun but my pain was fully managed in hospital so at least she shouldn't be uncomfortable. I'm sure they are doing absolutely everything they can now they know what it is. Wishing her a speedy recovery.

belgo · 23/10/2007 11:05

I'm so sorry to hear this. What an awful thing to happen. Wishing her a full and fast recovery.

good luck lisa & family, esp LO's.

will be thinking of u!!

Carmenere · 23/10/2007 22:31

Oh the poor thing, I had this, well it was suspected as my liver results were dodgy but I was ok. They treat it very seriously indeed as it is really dangerous if mismanaged. But she will be ok now they have it identified and treated thankfully. And the keyhole surgery for the gall bladder is really cool as it is very neat and you recover really quickly as opposed to the old open surgey they used to have to do that took weeks to recover from.
Wish her good luck from me please LVOC I'm sure she will be better really soon

spookykitty · 23/10/2007 22:41

spoke to her earlier. they are leaving the stone in pancreas and hoping it dislodges itself. things are settling down, and they said about removing gall bladder in a few weeks if she has no bad flare ups.

i dont know much about gall stones, so am really unsure om whats whats.

hello all

Thanks for all the kind thoughts. I went back in on sunday lasy week as pain had got bad. They were very worried because of yellow eyes and large amounts of pain. Did MRI (scarcy tube thing) and found one blocking bile duck to liver and another in my pancreas. Caused pancretis, which then set off a worry of organ failure loads of tests, drugs, IV's ect.
Once they stopped IV drugs, it all flared up again
Was booked to have op yesterday but was cancelled as op before me took longer than normal. I have been allowed home today after nearly 2 weeks in total in hospital. Having Op on friday.
LO was with me for first 3 days but then i was too unwell so she has been at home with her daddy.
Hoping the op goes ok and im home with my family again quickly.

Lisa

mishymoo · 31/10/2007 16:03

Oh Lisa - really wish you well and hope the op sorts everything out once and for all!

Are you having your gall bladder out?

lisad123 · 31/10/2007 16:06

yeah sorry should have said.
Yep gall bladder out and hoping they can check for stones that are stuck while there. If not their will do ERCP a few days later.

mishymoo · 31/10/2007 16:07

Good luck!

I had mine out in July after months of on/off pain - luckily was never admitted as emergency case like you though. I have been fine since.

PeachyFleshCrawlingWithBugs · 31/10/2007 16:09

Hope the op goes well Lisad.
