Does this sound like a verrucca ? On outside of dd's big toe, could look like a clear blister but hard in centre. She swims 2-3 times a week at school where they seem fairly common. How do they treat them these days (remember mine being cut out by gp , bleugh) and can you get those rubber swim socks for child size 10 !

it does sound like one...my DD1 (who is 6) had one. We used Bazuka...it is a kind of gell that you cover the verruca with, and it sets over the top. You can get it from any pharmacy.
I have no idea about varruca socks...I'm sure they do them though...

Do they always have a brown centre like the pics I've just googled ? dd's is compeletly clear

hmmmm.....DD1's was like a little cauliflower type thing...it didn't have a brown middle to start with....the brown middle appeared when I had put a few applications of bazuka on.

I would ask the doctor or pharmasist if you are in any doubt.

could it be molluscum? Strange place for it though.

No not molluscum, ds had that. The hard part is over half a cm across but the centre is clear.
