As well as the usual drugs, I often use my TENS machine during "that time when you're a lady" as a friend of mine described it many years ago!

oxocube · 20/10/2007 19:42

Out of interest, does everyone have pain when their period is due, which is bad enough to resort to painkillers? I have a bit of an ache but nothing lasting more than a couple of hours or really awful. Am I the only one who is so lucky?

MaureenMLove · 20/10/2007 19:43

A mixture of lavender oil and patchouli oil is good in the bath or mixed with a base oil straight on the offending area! I use my heat bag a lot too. Although the nicest thing is DH just gently stroking my tummy! It doesn't always do the job, but it takes my mind off it!

NannyL · 20/10/2007 20:57

I take evening primrose oil to help with the raging PMT. I take Transexamic acid to help slow the raging bleeding.
