I am due to book in for a dental cleaning soon.
One side of my jaw has been tender over the past few months. There's no major pain. Just some tenderness in the cheek bone and the joint where the mouth opens and closes. I was hit into my cheek on that side of my face last spring and I think it might be all connected. I don't feel a lump or a spot but there is definitely some tenderness when I press on my cheek and also when I brush my teeth. If I press the toothbrush back far enough into my mouth and into the location where the mouth opens and closes, there is some tenderness there too. There is no teeth there in my mouth.
It's only on one side of my face. I know there's an issue there because the other side of my face is fine with no tenderness.
Should I get him to have a look at my jaw while there or is this an issue for my GP?
