Ds has a really weird rash...

It looks like angry, red, raised spots. He's had it since the beginning of the week.

He's under the weather and keeps getting a bit of a temperature (warm head, cold hands/feet) but a single dose of calpol/ibruprofen seems to deal with it fine.

Seems to be a low level virus thing, but what's weird is that the rash (which is all over his body) appears and disapears in the space of minutes. It can last anything from a few minutes up to a few hours. It just disapears and reappears depending on whether he is feeling fine or a bit poorly. Coinciding with whether he has a bit of a temp or not.

Anybody had anything like this? Will take him to see gp if not better by monday I think, but it's really weird.

TIA

Yes, our DS gets a rash too whenever he's got a virus. We did get the GP to check it out once or twice but we know now it's just something that happens to him.

However, best not to be too relaxed about rashes. It did cause us to ignore the allergic rash he developed whilst on a course of antibiotics... GP was horrified on that occasion. No more penicillin for DS!

Thanks for that.

I will call drs on monday then to get them to check it if he still has it. Bet it will disapear as soon as we go in

Allergy to penicillin must be a bitch!

It was scary when I realised what could have happened.

Your poor boy though. Hope he's feeling better soon.
