I have been having health issues for a good few years and as a result have had quite a few blood tests to get to the bottom of it. A year ago I had some bloods come back that showed I was slightly anaemic. The GP didnt seem paticular interested since it was only slight (despite the fact I felt dreadful
) I self treated with an iron supplement which did help. The health issue grumbled on however, and each time I presented at the GP surgery I felt as though I was being seen on a 'Here she is again!' sort of basis. My suggestion of what I thought my problem was was roundly dismissed (specifically asked 3 different GPs.) Anyway, I've gone private and now have a diagnosis and I was right. It turns out that the anaemia was a red flag for this condition. My surgery allows patients to read test results via Patient Access so I logged on earlier to get the results from last year for a consultation with my private doctor this afternoon. Anyway, my haemoglobin and haemacrit results have both been changed and miraculously now show that I was in the normal range. (These numbers have been edited within the last couple of months, I actually have a screen shot of what they used to be.) How could this have happened?? Is there some way of retreiving the original results?? I am somewhat bemused to put it mildly. Any advice woul dbe great.
