I have been having health issues for a good few years and as a result have had quite a few blood tests to get to the bottom of it. A year ago I had some bloods come back that showed I was slightly anaemic. The GP didnt seem paticular interested since it was only slight (despite the fact I felt dreadful Hmm ) I self treated with an iron supplement which did help. The health issue grumbled on however, and each time I presented at the GP surgery I felt as though I was being seen on a 'Here she is again!' sort of basis. My suggestion of what I thought my problem was was roundly dismissed (specifically asked 3 different GPs.) Anyway, I've gone private and now have a diagnosis and I was right. It turns out that the anaemia was a red flag for this condition. My surgery allows patients to read test results via Patient Access so I logged on earlier to get the results from last year for a consultation with my private doctor this afternoon. Anyway, my haemoglobin and haemacrit results have both been changed and miraculously now show that I was in the normal range. (These numbers have been edited within the last couple of months, I actually have a screen shot of what they used to be.) How could this have happened?? Is there some way of retreiving the original results?? I am somewhat bemused to put it mildly. Any advice woul dbe great.

Have you tried asking the practice what’s happened? Back when I was young and working in GP admin blood results automatically went into the computer programme from the lab so you’d have to be some sort of criminal mastermind (or very bored) to ‘tamper’ with results. I suspect there’s a very boring admin related reason for if the results have changed rather than anything more suspect.
