Can stress cause chest pains in the heart.

Over the past few weeks I have been experiencing some type of heaviness in my chest on the left side. Not so much pains. It's more of a heaviness. Kinda like a strain. It definitely feels like it's around the heart. It's right under my left rib cage or on the rib cage.

I thinks it's stress related. I really think it's stress and I thinks it's related to work related stress.

It's not a pain as such. It's more of a heaviness in my chest around the heart. I think it came about from some intensity at work. Now this feeling is with me everyday. Every step I take, theres that feeling in my cheat. Even a deep breath in, there's that heaviness in my chest.

I'm following the health guidelines and I'm keeping my contacts low and there's nobody in my circle positive for covid. I never had any flu last winter or recently so I don't think it's covid.

Yes, stress can cause this. But you shouldn't ignore any chest pain, please contact your GP so they can rule out other possibilities.

I think stress can cause pretty much any symptom under the sun. The mind is a powerful thing. If you are worried you could seek advice from a healthcare professional but if you aren't 'ill' then I don't think they'll do much.

I had terrible heartburn when I was going through a very stressful period in my life. Sounds like you describe. I didn't realise it was heartburn. Had a chest X-ray and an endoscopy, turned out to be heartburn! No matter what a took it would not go away. The only thing that helped it was silicol gel. Funny thing was that after months of this pain every single day all day long, one day I woke up and it was gone?! Very strange!

Yes, stress can do this. Find something you enjoy and try to do it every day for a bit.
But in the meantime, get checked out by your GP just in case it is not stress.
