40 weeks pregnant green discharge

Currently 40 weeks pregnant, have suffered from thrush throughout the entire pregnancy, never had it before.

Earlier in the summer i started to get green discharge, GP got me to do a swab and called a few days later to say it's ok it's just thrush continue with the over the counter creams etc as and when required.

I've been doing this but today it is back with vengeance, really thick green discharge. Do I get more over the counter cream or ask to see the doctor again, everything I read online says the discharge should be white and creamy for thrush but what I've had never fit that description.

With baby due imminently I'm starting to worry it's something else.

I'd ring your midwife or gp whoever is easier to speak to it might be an infection and not thrush.

Could be meconium in your waters, you could have a small leak. Save your pads and call your midwife.

Maybe it’s your mucus plug ?

Trust your gut. I’d be onto everyone until someone listened. Usually leaking green stuff from anywhere isn’t a fantastic sign.

It's quite possibly your mucus plug!

Call the delivery suite (number on your notes)
They'll tell you what to do - and more importantly they are there 24/7
Hope you get to see your little baby soon 😄

Saw the midwife yesterday, they have done a vaginal swab to confirm diagnosis and a sweep to try and hurry baby up but said they are fairly certain it is just another bad case of thrush Blush
