I had a coil fitted 6 weeks after my 1st child and it was fab, didn't feel a thing as my whomb was still soft after birth and had that coil for 5yrs.

My 2nd child is 5yo and in that time we were using condoms but I wanted to use the coil again as it was so good.

I had a Mirena coil fitted in Feb this year and expected it to be as fab as the first time but it wasn't. I could actually feel it in my body and it was uncomfortable. I bled every day and we couldn't have sex because it was painful(great birth control as we couldn't have sex)

I had it removed after 6 months having given it a good try.

You may get on very well with the Mirena so please don't worry because we are all different but just information to bear in mind if you have the same symptoms ok?{smile}

Yeah It's always best to be informed about these things. Not worried so much about afterwards, I will deal with that when it comes to it. just worried about it going in... lol one step at a time.
