Has anyone ever been to a pain managmenet clinic? What's involved

I am going to one on Monday, just not sure what to expect

They give him injections once a year into his facet joints

I'm going because of my Fibromyalgia. The pain is there, mildly all the time, but flare ups cause it to be severe. its classed as a chronic illness. There is no pattern to the flare ups, and no apparent trigger, so I am going to see the Pain Managemnt lot in portsmouth to see what they can suggest. it's starting to impact on my life now, so hopefully they can help.
I'm just unsure what's involved
