Routine smear test while pregnant?

Stupid question: can you have a smear test if you're pregnant? I've just had a reminder, but have also just found out I'm pg, and as I had a MC 2 months ago I don't want to do anything that will jeopardise this pregnancy.

Thanks - I'll contact the clinic and tell them to write again next July!

Nope at least 6 weeks after - no risk to pregnancy but may get abnormal result ..

I was told by my MW that you can have a smear test whilst pg, however only if you believe there is a reason to have one, rather than a routine one IYSWIM.

YOu can have one after the birth, but only when you've got your periods back as you have to have a smear at a certain time in your cycle.
