Partner bent penis months ago and still experiences pain during erections

Hi I’m just looking to see if anyone has any experience as we’re not sure what to do next

My partner “mis-fired” during sex and bent his penis a few month ago in august or sept. It didn’t seem a big deal at the time, it has happened several times before. It wasn’t painful at the time, but in the next few days it hurt when he got an erection. We assumed it was bruised but when the pain didn’t go away in a few weeks, he went to the doctor. They dismissed it and said it will get better on its own. However it’s not getting better at all.

He says it’s feel like he’s smacked it with a hammer and it’s bruised but there’s never been any bruising or discolouration. The pain is in the centre of the penis, just where the shaft joins the head, to a couple of cm down. It is upsetting for him obviously to have pain each time we have sex

Any idea what the issue might be? Also, where do we go from here? Sexual health clinic maybe? Back to docs? Private?

Thanks so much for any input

Back to the GP, definitely. Sexual health clinic if he still doesn't have any joy.

Hiya, I'd strongly advise that he sees the GP, who should refer to Urology.

@TikTakTikTak and @Mitosisgirl - thank you.

The GP did call urology and ask them about it, and presumably it was their advice to wait and see. I’ll get him to see the GP again

Do you think it’s likely ruptured erectile tissue that will need a surgical repair?

I think there has been some soft tissue injury. Hence the pain. They might say wait and watch, or might have to do an op.

Thank you. He’s been prescribed naproxen. I’m not sure it’s our solution tbh but we’ll see
