A young member of our family we diagnosed with this 18 months ago.Luckily they were visiting someone in hospital and collapse d like they have before and the medics did some further tests.
They are not afraid of hospital s they did have this condition that can be hereditary.50% have of inheriting from one parent.It can cause sudden death in their sleep and can be why adults collapse and go into cardiac arrest.
Their family was offered tests which some of them had before I was cut off for no specific reason.I am unsure of the results and some were reluctant to be tested as they are young and it is frightening to have this condition.
The reason for my post is last week I had a horrendous dizzy spell and almost collapsed at work.I've had them before had ecg s that were normal as I'm over 40 GP wants to rule out a heart attack.
The thing is ecgs can be normal in a brugada patient too.My relative no may or may not be the parent that passed this on has gone NC with me.
Any advice welcome.Thanks in advance.
