Good luck - but 20 little gall stones can't be storing 3 stone, surely?
Losing weight is a bugger, isn't it? I've been pretty good and lost 2 stone and about 4lb, but I could do with shifting another stone.
1lb a week might not seem like much, but it is. There are 3800 calories in a pound of fat - you probably use about 2000 a day, so you need to consume 200 calories a day less than you actually need.
What I have tried to do is change my eating habits instead of diet. I'm also taking more exercise. The weight has crept off at the rate of 1 or 2lb a month, but sad to say I haven't lost anything since about June.
I just think that losing weight is so much harder as you get older, so I wanted to shift it before it got stuck on the hips forever!
You'll be off to a good start when you have your op as you probably won't eat much for at least a few days, will you?
ps My friend's dh is fatter than ever now!
