silly question about chicken pox

some friends came over on Saturday with their ds. He was a bit grumpy and hot and out of sorts and the next day it became apparent he had just come down with chicken pox. He had a couple of spots on his back on saturday, and several more the next day.

Is it inevitable my dd will now get it too? How long will it take to appear if so?

No not inevitable, lots of kids don't develop it on first or even subsequent exposure, but you won't know for sure for 3 weeks, as incubation is 10 days to 3 weeks and he will have been contagious.

thanks lizs...we might get away with it then...though I know she has to get it some time
