Sort of... I get a post nasal drip, fluid down the back of my throat... it feels constantly as though something is there and I can't cough it out. It's really irritating.

sounds like something is lodged back there. Not sure what to do though. When I had a fish bone stuck in the back of my throat I could actually touch it if I pushed my finger down far enough. In the end I made myself vomit it up but that is highly dangerous!!

Yes. Sometimes that sensation can be caused by acid reflux but you would have other symptoms if you had that.

Sometimes it can be related to stress too.

Could you have scratched it with something? The reason I say this is, a few yrs ago I got a fish bone stuck in my throat (well thought I had a bone stuck!!!) Went to A&E explained to them my symptoms (I had waited several days before I went)They looked down my throat and couldnt see anything, apart from a tiny scratch. The fish bone had obviously caught it going down. Maybe something like this has happened to you!

oooo pink bubble u may be onto something there, i do remember scratching my throat whilst eating something but it was deffo before saturday night, could that tie in? or would a scratch start feeling funny immediatley? IYSWIM i confuse myself sometimes

This is gross, but I get this whenever I have a cold. It feels like something lodged in my throat. It is infact, white lumps of mmhh. . . pus, kind of. They are hard enough to form lumps, but are squishy, and the stink. After a while of coughing and wretching, they come up out of my mouth, hence how I know what they are.

I'm not saying this is what you have, but it's a possibility. I hope none of you are eating, I know it's gross!!

I usually feel them before I can see them.

mousemole · 15/10/2007 19:49

Celery, i had those too. they come from your tonsils! the smell was horrendous. had my tonsils out and all clear now !

orangehead · 16/10/2007 23:40

I got the same but just getting over a cold so think it linked to that

BellaLasagne · 17/10/2007 14:30

I've got this too and I haven't got a cold.

I feel as though there's a hair or tiny bit of food stuck at the back of my tongue and it won't go away.

I can eat and drink OK and it doesn't hurt, I haven't got a sore throat.

It feels really odd and I can't see anything, I've had this for a few days now. Any ideas anyone?

loopylou6 · 17/10/2007 17:34

bella thats a perfect description of how i feel, wonder what it is?
