DH's weirdly low resting heart rate

DH (mid 40s, quite fit, but not elite/Olympic level!) has always had a low resting heart rate, but recently had got himself a Garmin watch with heart rate monitor, and it's worrying me how low it actually goes. It's low 40s on average, but quite often goes to low 30s. The other night he watched it dip to 29(!) and even he thought that was a bit concerning.

He went to the GP, and had some blood tests and an ECG, all of which came back normal. He doesn't have any other worrying symptoms (fainting etc). He's having a follow up appointment with the GP tomorrow, and I'm wondering how hard he should push for further tests (he's a v chilled out person, and would happily be "fobbed off").

Mine tends to be in the 30s and 40s too. I'm 50 and not very fit. It's always been low. My blood pressure is low too.

Mine is very low. Normally in 40's and I'm 44 alto I run a lot.
My son also has low resting heart rate.

Well this is somewhat reassuring to hear about others' low heart rates... Does anyone else's go sub-30?

There's a strong genetic disposition. We all have low rhr and BP on my side of the family.

My BP is around 90/50 and rhr around 50.

My resting heart rate is 40-44, my blood pressure is also low and my temperature is also normally low.
I don’t have any thyroid issues, I do have a heart murmur (they roll out the student doctors to have a listen if I’m ever in hospital) I’m 52, Fairly fit and not overweight.

Well DH had his follow up appointment today. It was literally a 2 minute phone call, and the GP said no further investigations were needed. I'm simultaneously glad and dubious. Can they really rule out anything problematic with blood tests and a 60 second ECG? I kind of thought they might need to see the heart in (in)action, by monitoring it when he was asleep for example.

Anyway, I've suggested to DH that he should go for the world record (currently 28bpm held by a pensioner....DH is only one beat away from that at the moment :-D ).

sounds like me.
very lowblood pressure (can't hold my arms above my head for more than acouple of mins without fainting), always cold hand and feet and a resting heart rate around 40.

so far no further issues for me (apart from being bloody cold all the time) but one of my grand parents had the same and needed a pacemaker in their 50s so I'm monitored for issues.
