I ever realised how horrible ear infections are until now.

I had one last September and another in July but didn’t feel unwell with them, just a bit of pan and loss of hearing.

This time I woke up the early hours of Monday morning and my ear was hurting. I managed to nod off again and felt okay when I got up. Then the pain came back with a vengeance that afternoon and it’s been so painful since.

I really feel for people who get them regularly.

Co Codamol works quite well for ear ache plus you need to treat the infection.

Have you tried heat on it? DD has had a few and lying on a hot water bottle helps a bit.

You have my sympathies.

Yes I’ve found heat help thanks, I’ve been taking co-codamol for the pain. But I can’t take any of the anti inflammatory type of drugs as I’m allergic to them. I’ve been on antibiotics since Tuesday and they gave me some anti sickness tablets yesterday because I’d been vomiting them back up. I’m hoping it’s starting to break now as there is a lot of green discharge coming out of my ear, and my temperature is coming down (just sweaty now) Still really hurts, I just don’t want to eat. The anti sickness drugs are just knocking me out, which isn’t a bad thing at leats I’ve had some sleep. It’s been a good job DH has been off work this week.
