Please help me figure out this abdominal/hip pain!

I helped a friend move house about 12 weeks ago. At one point I helped carry a heavy bed a short way. I didn't feel any pain or injury at the time.

Next day I had a pain just inside my right hip bone/where the pelvis sticks out. Like a stitch. It would come and go randomly but was much worse on walking or if I had to stand for a long time, like in a supermarket queue. Its about 1cm below my scar from my open appendix surgery that I had 3 years ago.

12 weeks later and it has only got about 10% better. I've seen an osteopath who said I was really tight in that area and gave it a good massage, which made the pain much worse so I wasn't keen on going back to him (also v expensive!). I then saw a physio who thought it was a pulled/strained abdominal muscle and gave me some exercises to do. The exercises made it a lot worse so I then stopped doing those. He said just to carry on walking, but again that's the one thing that consistently makes it hurt all the time so I'm nervous of doing that.

I have spoken to the GP on the phone who said it is likely to be either a strained muscle or possibly adhesions from my appendix surgery. She said there were no red flags (have had a gynae scan and all fine, no issues with bladder or bowel) so no need to come into the surgery, and suggested using ibuprofen gel. Again that doesn't help at all.

Nothing is helping and I am worrying about what it could be and if its ever going to get better. I would just really like a diagnosis! Any ideas?
