Some years I am more sensitive to side effects / reactions than others.

How are the reported levels of side effects this year?

Yes and no problems. My arm is normally very sore after but was fine this time.

BigRedBoat · 17/10/2020 13:01

No because instead of doing drop in clinics at work you have to sign up for a voucher in the post to use at a pharmacy and they've run out of vouchers

Spied · 17/10/2020 13:04

Yes, two weeks ago today.
No side effects bat all.

Jaxhog · 17/10/2020 13:06

3 weeks ago, with no problem.

A friend had hers a week ago and passed out on the way home.

PatchworkElmer · 17/10/2020 13:09

Last Saturday. My arm has been so painful since- they must’ve caught a nerve. It’s a bit better today.

No other side effects though.

JustOneMoreStep · 17/10/2020 13:09

Yep I've had it as I'm deemed high risk. No side effects at all, my siblings, parents and uncle have also had it without any issues but my 95yo grandma had a very slight rash on her arm for a few days after.

MadisonAvenue · 17/10/2020 14:16

Just in the queue outside the GP surgery for mine now, I’ll let you know.

DumplingsAndStew · 17/10/2020 14:19

This is all really encouraging thanks. Sounds like minimal side effects for most.

Hot raised lump on my arm afterwards for a few days. Ok now.

KingaRoo · 17/10/2020 14:20

I normally get horrible side effects, shivery, feeling sick for days etc. This year nothing at all. Hope that doesn't mean it didn't create the usual immune reaction!

BenoneBeauty · 17/10/2020 14:22

I had it 2 weeks ago - no side effects other than achey arm for a day or so (which I'd usually get so no different to previous years).

RancidOldHag · 17/10/2020 14:22

Yes. Mildly sore arm - much less than previous years (only really noticeable first night when I rolled over in bed)

CoffeeDay · 17/10/2020 14:24

I don't really consider a sore arm a side effect since that's to be expected if someone sticks a needle in you :P! Had mine a few days ago and was a bit tired that evening but no other side effects.

daisydalrymple · 17/10/2020 14:30

DC3 (5yo) had the spray on Thurs. he’s now on the sofa, with a mild temp, feeling achy and unwell. He’s reacted like this each year so far. It’s his birthday next week, so we’re hoping it’s worked it’s way out by then as it’s hit and miss each year if he’s better for it Sad

MJMG2015 · 17/10/2020 14:30

I was supposed to have it last week, but they ran out.

I had it a 2pm today, it's the first time I've ever had it. I walked to the surgery as they asked us to if we could, I was going to go fir a proper walk afterwards, but I'm just sitting on a bench in the park near home as I don't feel very well, I have a funny taste in my mouth and a feel bit headachy & like I might be sick. I'm just going to go home instead

I'm very crap with any kind of medicine, giving blood or whatever though, so I'm probably a bit of an Outlier!

It only hurt a little bit when I had it done - just the needle, not the fluid going in arm
Is stinging a tiny bit now.

None of my friends that have had it already had any issues.

I'll update later.

SherryPalmer · 17/10/2020 14:34

I also had a slightly red arm (for about 24hrs) this year but no other symptoms. Kids had the nasal spray with no problems.

ohnothisagain · 17/10/2020 14:36

No achey a for the hr first time ever, but didn’t sleep well the night after. otherwise ok

Belfastbird · 17/10/2020 14:39

Yes a couple of weeks ago - no side effects

GreatBigBeautifulTommorow · 17/10/2020 15:08

Yes yesterday
Raised hot lump and painful arm.
Feel knackered and achey but I have had THE week from hell at work so maybe unrelated.

Salamander91 · 17/10/2020 15:15

I had mine on Wednesday. I was a little run down on Thurs and sore arm but otherwise fine.

SwedishEdith · 17/10/2020 18:09

Had it last week. Never had it before. No side effects at all.

Alwaysultraprotect · 17/10/2020 18:10

I had no side effects, I had it last week. Parents had it today and again completely fine

Mumisnotmyonlyname · 17/10/2020 23:08

Yes two weeks ago. All fine.

Perro · 17/10/2020 23:12

Several days ago, and a absolutely no side effects whatsoever this year, usually feel a bit off for a few days.

Jilljams · 17/10/2020 23:16

I had it last week, no side effects at all. My older relatives have all had it too and no one has mentioned anything about side effects so I guess they haven’t experienced anything either
